End of Summer Newsletter

Summer is almost over, but there is still plenty of fun to be had! See below for the calendar for this week.
Thank you for a great summer! It was a pleasure to watch your children grow throughout the summer and make memories that will last a lifetime! We look forward to seeing many of you back this school year and again next summer!

Please remember the following as your child approaches their last day:

  • Your child will be sent home with their sunscreen and belongings on their last day as we clean out lockers for the upcoming school year.

  • Both Jack & Jill and JJ's Jam are closed next Thursday and Friday, September 1st and 2nd for staff training and preparation for the upcoming school year. The last day of JJ's Jam for the summer will be next Wednesday, August 31st. 

School Release Days Update
JJ's Jam offers full day programming

  • School release programming & registration for Monday, September 26th has been sent out. Mounds View, Wilshire Park, and Minneapolis all have this day off of school. The form is linked below.

  • October and November school release registration will be sent out in the coming weeks.

  • If you have any questions on school release days, please email info@jjsjam.com.

JJ's Jam Summer 2023
We are already gearing up for summer 2023! We cannot wait to see you back again. Keep an eye out in the coming months for more information on the summer program next summer. We already have new, great ideas for our art program, makerspace program, and new field trips for summer 2023!

Pros Program - Saint Anthony & Blaine

  • Our Pros Program will return in Saint Anthony for next summer. This is a program for 3rd graders & up with additional field trips and programming each week.

  • An inquiry for the Pros Program at our Blaine location will be sent out in the coming month. We hope to offer the program at both locations soon!

  • Highlights of this summer included:

    • Escape Rooms at PuzzleWorks

    • Designing our own logos with local graphic designers that were made into t-shirts and stickers. 

    • Virtual Reality

    • Footgolf at Brookland Park Golf Course

    • Canoeing & Kayaking

    • Archery & Survival Skills

    • The Minnesota State Fair

    • Golf Lessons at Victory Links

    • Top Golf

General Reminders

  • Please remember that JJ’s Jam has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavioral issues that may arise at any time during camp. Parents will be notified and must be available to pick their child up if needed.

  • Closed toed shoes and socks are required. Please do not send your child in crocs or sandals.

  • Children will need to have their own non-aerosol sunscreen each day as we do not share sunscreen. We will apply and re-apply frequently throughout the day! Each child, including siblings, should have their own bottle labeled with their first and last name. These are kept in the classroom and parents will be notified as needed to replace this.

  • Outside toys are only allowed on designated days. Books, however, are encouraged to be brought in daily.

  • JJ's Jam events and programming can all be found on our Google Calendar which is located on our website and can be added to your calendar via the link below.
